As the two indulge in a passionate affair, Mallory realizes that her heart cannot stand idly by as their chemistry sends sparks flying. Ty, despite his best efforts at remaining detached, recognizes that Mallory's generous spirit and gentle way has infiltrated his armor. But as Ty's career lures him away, he must decide what he desires most. Readers will appreciate the steamy romance and eclectic cast of characters while rooting for the lovable heroine.

      Sick and tired of being tagged as the town "good girl" and having pretty much given up on finding Mr. Right, ER nurse Mallory Quinn, with the encouragement of two friends and too much chocolate cake, decides to go after Mr. Wrong. New mechanic Ty Garrision (aka Mysterious Cute Guy), who just happens to faint on the doorstep one snowy night, might be the one. But Ty is only in town to recover from a leg injury, and even though he doesn't plan to stay long, a series of bizarre events throw Mallory and Ty together with increasingly passionate results. VERDICT An overly responsible, generous heroine with "rescue" genes in her DNA but ready for a little danger and a special ops hero who needs to heal both physically and emotionally connect in a steamy temporary fling--and then must face the fact that it has turned into something much more. Another touching, funny, delectably sexy treat that will make fans glad it is the first of three back-to-back releases. Top-notch RITA Award winner Shalvis (Head Over Heels) lives near Lake Tahoe, NV.
