O’Keefe brings together a good girl and a bad boy in the phenomenal third installment (after Never Been Kissed) of the Boys of Bishop series, set in tiny Bishop, Ark. Even after Shelby’s ex-lover proclaims on national television that she’s a wildcat in bed, no one believes that the preacher’s daughter and upstanding citizen could have a secret dirty side. And although people who look at Ty tend to see his tough-guy exterior, he’s hardworking, generous, and trying his best to build a life for the 11-year-old son he only just met. Ty and Shelby start out with a clash, but as they take turns extending helping hands, their relationship moves from simple lust to an attachment much more intense and unexpected. The story is deep, complex, and rich, with emotional tones of hope, loss, regret, pain, and so many flavors of love. Shelby and Ty’s romance is dark, erotic, and gloriously full of joy, a total must-read for any romance fan who likes their sex scenes raunchy and their heartstrings plucked.
